What Is Spray Foam Insulation?

Icynene is a form of Spray Foam Insulation modernized for the energy efficient market. With over 30 years of development and over 300,000 residential applications it provides and air barrier material that seals walls, floors and ceiling cavities against air movement. It can be applied over existing components in your home including plumbing and electrical fixtures without causing any issues in regards to building regurgitations and safety.

Icynene Insulation is approved by a number of regulatory boards including BBA (British Board of Agrement), ETA (the European Organisation for Technical Approvals), IAB and the Technitherm certification board.

 

Icynene is certified to be applied on roofs, crawl spaces, floors, ceilings and cavity walls. It has also been known to insulate vans and shipping containers.

Icynene Classic Plus “O” is a class 0 fire rated spray foam insulation that has also achieved a best in class surface spread of flame of class 1 ( test range class 1 best to class 4 worst). Utilising a special intumescent coating Icynene has achieved certification to BS EN 476 Part 6 & 7 in addition to achieving Class 0 in accordance with approved Documents B “Fire Safety” To the Building Regulations 2000.
