Cons of Icynene Spray Foam Insulation
Apart from the initial investment their are not to many cons about the Icynene Insulation Products. The three biggest issues people find with the insulation are:
- Finding a Licensed Installer – Licensed Icynene installers are limited so do not be fooled. People have been caught out by companies mis representing the product or fraudulently selling a different product such as Polyurethane stating it is Icynene. ALWAYS check the Icynene Official Website for a list of certified installers.
- Can Be Messy Upon Application- Ensure that any items that could be sprayed over are removed from the area to be applied with Icynene. Installers take the best care they can to avoid this kind of issue but with the nature of the product it is sometimes difficult to keep it clean!
- Membrane – We are one of the only companies that provide a breathable membrane in-between Icynene and the roof. Failure to do this means that the foam will be sprayed to the underside of the tiles resulting in difficulty when changing tiles or undertaking roof repairs.
