We have put some information together to help you understand this innovative product, providing you with the relevant information you need to identify if it is the right choice for your home moving forward…

Masonry Wall Insulation: The Basics

Our Home Logic Exterior Wall Insulation is a new generation performance masonry crème, which insulates the bricks of your outer walls, along with the porous building materials. The product is designed to chemically bond with the surface, to create an protective barrier that you can trust.

This masonry crème penetrates deep into the bricks by seventeen millimetres. Using the latest nanotechnology, it bonds with a range of surfaces, including bricks and concrete, protecting them against the elements, which includes dirt, oil, pollution, rain and algae, to name just a few.

The new generation performance masonry crème reduces water absorption by over ninety five percent, which is a figure you can trust, and it comes with the added benefit of a twenty-year lifetime guarantee that you can rely on.

While the masonry crème does create an invisible barrier which reduces water absorption, it doesn’t stop your masonry from breathing. In fact it allows air and moisture to pass from one side to the other while remaining permeable to water vapour

Radically Reduces Water Absorption

The benefit to this new generation performance masonry crème such as the Home Logic Wall Insulation is that it provides excellent insulation properties for your building, by effectively reducing water absorption by up to 95%.

The treatment is guaranteed to last over twenty years, bonding to the surface, and creating an invisible barrier that penetrates the masonry up to seventeen millimetres deep.

Your Masonry Will Still Be Able To Breathe

While the masonry crème does create an invisible barrier which reduces water absorption, it doesn’t stop your masonry from breathing. In fact it allows air and moisture to pass from one side to the other while remaining permeable to water vapour.

The masonry being able to breathe ensures that you have an improved thermal conductivity and insulation.

It’s Completely Self-Cleaning!

That’s right! Home Logic Exterior Wall Insulation, our new generation performance masonry wall insulation, is completely self-cleaning, helping to reduce its maintenance needs considerably.

It stops dirt particles from holding onto the brick work, and enables dirt to simply flow away when it rains. This ensures your masonry remains clean, and looking good at all times.

The next step is to ensure we power wash all the outside walls, where the Home Logic Exterior Wall Insulation will be applied. This step is carried out to remove years of mould, mildew, stains, dirt, soot, loosening paint and more

Masonry Wall Insulation: Our 10-Step Application Process

Inspection

When it comes to the application of the new generation performance masonry crème, we start with an inspection of your outside walls before we start any work.

This is done to identify any potential problems, before the product is actually applied.

Power Wash

The next step is to ensure we power wash all the outside walls, where the Home Logic Exterior Wall Insulation will be applied. This step is carried out to remove years of mould, mildew, stains, dirt, soot, loosening paint and more.

Also once the walls are washed at high pressure, problem areas will become more noticeable.

Treat for Algae

We can’t begin our application until we treat any areas affected by algae and moss.

This part of the process ensures that the spores are killed off, to reduce the risk of the algae returning at a later date.

Of course you don’t want your entire home covered in the new generation performance masonry crème, so we will cover and mask all your doors, windows, gutters and drainpipes that are not to be sprayed

We Repair Any Cracks

The cracks in the walls must be repaired to ensure the surface is sound and ready for application.

We will cut or grind the area to remove loose debris, and then fill it with a high-quality filler to repair the damage.

Repairing Render

Areas we find with damaged render will also be removed and re-rendered, ensuring we match the existing surface as much as possible.

This ensures the surface is fully prepped and prepared for the application itself.

Bagging

Bagging is a stabilising procedure we follow which is used on poor quality and unpainted surfaces.

We apply a SBR / Unibond Bag Coat to the surface to provide you with superior stabilisation and outstanding adhesive qualities.

Covering Vulnerable Areas

Of course you don’t want your entire home covered in the new generation performance masonry crème, so we will cover and mask all your doors, windows, gutters and drainpipes that are not to be sprayed.

This eliminates the risk of over spraying. We also put down dust sheets and tarpaulin in vulnerable spaces.
